I enjoyed reading your interview and gleaning some great tips to write and enhance my family stories. You accomplish so much in your day and yet still find time to blog. The tip I am going to apply is the 80/20 rule because I often don’t publish thinking it needs to be just right. Telling the stories is the goal, so I will adhere to not being a perfectionist.

Thanks, Kendra! I hope the 80/20 rule helps you as much as it has helped me. Once you have the courage to post an “imperfect” story once, it gets easier. I have been amazed at how much sharing the stories has connected me with relatives near and far and they have felt a connection with our ancestors. It is very worthwhile to get the stories out there!

Thank you so much for sharing the 80/20 rule! I really enjoyed your whole interview. You already seem like a professional genealogist to me, but yes it would be wonderful to get the AG to go along with the BA!!!!

The 80/20 rule is a very helpful principle, isn’t it? Thank you for your kind words. I think the accreditation with make me feel more “official” and I am having so much fun working towards it!
