are held and firmly bound by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in
the sum of fifty pounds, current money, the payment of which sum
well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors,
and administrators, jointly and severally, by these presents,
sealed with our seals, and dated this 4th day of February 1840
The condition of this obligation is that, whereas, a mar-
riage is shortly intended to be solemnized by the above bound

Now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then

Catherine Turner of Bardstown, Nelson, Kentucky. All debts and funeral expenses to be paid in full. For Charles E. Turner, son, $300 out of the proceeds of the sale of her house and lot (situated on the SW corner of 3rd street and Public Square in Bardstown.) For the Pastor of St. Joseph’s Church in Bardtown $25. $15 to be used for the repose of her soul, the other $10 for the benefit of the church. The remaining money to be divided equally among her two sons, Charles E. Turner and Henry Turner, and granddaughter Lelia Turner. If Catherine dies before Lelia comes of the age of twenty-one, Charles E. Turner is to hold her money in trust until she reaches that age. Charles is not allowed to charge any security for acting as trustee. All personal property is to be divided between the three above named, as discussed in a plan with Henry Turner and Lelia. It is not to be sold for any reason. Charles E. Turner and Henry Turner appointed as co-executors. Signed the 26th of March, 1889, in presence of J.W. Muin and Nat W. Halstead. CODICIL: All property above listed to go to the son Henry Turner, in trust for his two children Lois and Eula Turner. He may use said property as he sees fit to care for the children. If one child should die without heirs, the trust fund goes to the other child fully and their heirs. Signed September 28th, 1889, in presence of D.C. Hardin and Nat W. Halstead.
Attested in court Monday, December 8th, 1902. Nat W. Halstead appeared to prove his witness and those of the other two witnesses who did not appear. Proved legal and carried out. Attested by J. Boone Rapier, clerk.
