My great-aunt Joyce was a longtime family historian. She left many good resources for those genealogists that came after her. One of my favorites is the scrapbook that Joyce made for her parents, Louis and Dorothy Barger Johnson.
It is a lovely scrapbook, full of genealogy, history, culture, photos, and memorabilia. The book really allows the reader to immerse themselves in the details of what life was like for Louis and Dorothy.
I have digitized the book and compiled it into a PDF file for other descendants of Louis and Dorothy to enjoy. It is now complete and ready to download!
Be aware that it is a large file — 52 MB.

I hope you enjoyed that bit of family history as I did. See you again soon with another story from the past.

Do you and Dorothy have the same dress on? Great project!

Ha! I hadn’t noticed, but the fabric of my shirt and Dorothy’s dress really does have a similar pattern. It is not the same item of clothing, but it sure makes me happy to think that I share similar taste in clothing as my great-grandmother! Thanks for pointing that out.
