This pie recipe has been passed down through many generations of my paternal grandmother’s family. My grandmother Billee received a copy of the recipe from her grandmother Stevens after she got married.
Transparent Pie
2 cups sugar
½ cup butter
3 eggs
2 Tbls flour
1 cup milk
1 teas vanilla
Cream butter, sugar and flour. Add eggs, milk and flavoring. Pour into unbaked shell. Bake in 450 degree oven until browned, then cook for about 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
